Getting the best from your 6x4 prints

6x4 is the classic small photo size the one most people picture when they think "photo print." It's ideal for everyday snaps, holiday photos and anything headed for an album or a small frame. The main choice you've got here is weight. Lighter 180gsm is great value for big batches where you're printing dozens of shots at a time, while 240gsm and 260gsm feel noticeably sturdier and closer to a proper lab print, which pays off if the photos will be handled or posted.

Every sheet in this range has a glossy finish for sharp, punchy colour, and it's made specifically for inkjet printers Epson, Canon, HP, Brother. If you also print bigger, our A4 photo paper covers standard full-size prints, and you can see the whole selection over on the photo paper hub. Don't forget to top up your printer ink in the same order so you're not caught short halfway through.

GO Inkjet - We are always here to help

No matter what your query is we are always here to help in any way we can. We appreciate that not everyone is as tech savvy yet may still need a new printer cartridge or pack of photo paper.

Yes, the exact same size, just measured two ways. 6x4 is the size in inches and 10x15cm is the metric version, both describing the standard small photo-print. Sheets are also grouped under our 10x15cm photo paper collection if you prefer the metric name.

For everyday snaps and large batches, 180–200gsm does the job and keeps the cost down. If the prints are going in a frame or through the post, 240–260gsm gives you that thicker, more premium feel that stands up better to handling. There's no wrong answer — it just depends on where the photo ends up.

If you've got a standard home inkjet, yes. All our 6x4 paper is made for inkjet printers, just make sure you change your printer settings to ensure smooth paper feeding and print. The only thing to steer clear of is a laser printer, as those use heat that photo paper isn't built for.

Almost always it's the printer setting rather than the paper. If your driver still thinks it's on plain paper, it won't lay down enough ink. Before printing, choose a glossy or photo paper option in your print settings and you'll see the colour jump straight away.

Each sheet is one 6x4 print, so a 100 sheet pack gives you 100 photos. BUT, ours actually have 105 sheets per pack, not your normal 100 sheets like every other brand. That makes it an easy, low-cost way to print a whole event or holiday's worth of snaps in one go.
